Tell us about your campaign.
Serving the people of Rutherford County is both an honor and a responsibility that I take very seriously. As your County Commissioner for District 3, my goal has always been simple: represent our community with integrity, common sense, and a commitment to protecting the taxpayers who make everything we do possible. Rutherford County continues to grow at a remarkable pace. Growth brings opportunity, but it also brings challenges. My focus has been on making sure we manage that growth responsibly—investing in infrastructure, improving public safety, and ensuring our county government operates efficiently while protecting the financial future of our residents. As a small business owner in our community, I understand the value of hard work, accountability, and living within a budget. Those same principles guide the decisions I make as your Commissioner. Every dollar spent by county government comes from the people of Rutherford County, and it is our duty to treat those dollars with the same care and responsibility as we would our own. My priorities remain clear: • Responsible growth and infrastructure improvements • Fiscal responsibility and protection of taxpayer dollars • Strong support for law enforcement and first responders • Transparent, accountable county government • Long-term planning that keeps Rutherford County a great place to live, work, and raise a family I believe local government works best when leaders listen to the people they represent. Whether it’s addressing traffic concerns, improving roads, supporting public safety, or ensuring our county services operate effectively, I am committed to being accessible and responsive to the residents of District 3. I am deeply grateful for the support of my family, friends, and the many residents across our community who have encouraged me along the way. Public service is something I take seriously, and I remain committed to doing the work necessary to move our county forward. Rutherford County is a special place with hardworking people and strong communities. I am proud to serve District 3 and will continue working every day to represent our values and protect the future of our county.
In your own words, describe the responsibilities of the office you are seeking.
The responsibility of a Rutherford County Commissioner is to represent the citizens of their district and serve as a steward of taxpayer dollars. Commissioners act as the legislative body of county government, working together to pass resolutions, adopt budgets, approve policies, and oversee the responsible operation of county departments and services. One of the most important duties of a commissioner is budget oversight. Each year the commission reviews and approves the county budget, ensuring that essential services such as public safety, schools, roads, and infrastructure are properly funded while maintaining fiscal responsibility for the taxpayers who support those services. Commissioners also play an important role in long-term planning as our county continues to grow. This includes addressing infrastructure needs such as roads, public facilities, and public safety resources so our community can grow responsibly without placing unnecessary burdens on residents. Just as important, a commissioner must be a voice for the community. Residents rely on their commissioner to listen to their concerns, communicate with county departments, and advocate for solutions that improve their neighborhoods and quality of life. Above all, the role requires integrity, transparency, and a commitment to making thoughtful decisions that serve the best interests of Rutherford County today and for future generations.

Describe your qualifications for this office.
My qualifications for this office come from a lifetime of service to our community through law enforcement, small business, and public service. I previously served as Rutherford County Commissioner for District 12, where I worked with fellow commissioners to make responsible decisions for the county. During that time, I served as Chairman of the Property Management Committee and as a member of the Public Safety Committee, helping oversee county facilities, infrastructure, and public safety matters. Before serving in county government, I spent many years in law enforcement and retired as a police detective. During my career I worked numerous complex investigations, including serving as the lead investigator in the Captain D’s murders in Smyrna. That experience taught me the importance of accountability, careful decision-making, and serving the public with integrity. I am also a small business owner in Rutherford County, which has given me firsthand experience with budgeting, responsibility, and the challenges facing local families and businesses. I remain active in our community as a board member of the Smyrna Rotary Club, a member of the Smyrna Senior Center Long-Term Campaign Fundraising Committee, and as co-host of the Tuesday Morning Roundtable on WGNS with Wayne Blair. I also previously served on the Rutherford County Industrial Development Board. These experiences have prepared me to serve Rutherford County with dedication, transparency, and responsible leadership.
