Tell us about your campaign.

I believe in my neighbors, and I know that when we show up and actively support each other, we do better. I've lived in District 7 for 14 years, working to make a difference in my community as it rapidly transformed. While this growth brings new opportunities, it should not come at the cost of pricing long-time friends and neighbors out of our community. Growth isn't inherently bad, but it's past time we stopped reacting and started proactively managing that growth. I'm a Tennessee Native, a Teacher, Artist, Gardener, Organizer, and Volunteer. I will use my role as a county commissioner to shape our economy to work for all of us, not just developers and out of town chains. I will prioritize our local small businesses, advocate for good-paying jobs, and tackle the rising costs that threaten our working families. Affordability does not just happen! It requires deliberate and pro-community policies and leaders willing to change the status quo. I love our community and when elected I will serve the people - putting our urgent needs first. Infrastructure with intention, solid waste programs that don't just kick the can down the road, and policy that connects to us - the people.
