Describe your qualifications for this office.

Tim Rudd was born in St Petersburg Florida and has lived in Tennessee since he was three years old. He was raised in Murfreesboro and Smyrna. Tim was taught to be civic minded and has volunteered with numerous local civic organizations and charities including St Jude’s Children’s Hospital Bike-A-Thon, Salvation Army Toy Drive, Rotary Club Rodeo Fundraisers and Habitat for Humanity’s home building projects. He was also a Cub Scout and a member of the Boy Scouts. He served as Treasurer of the pro-life Tennessee Volunteers for Life in the 1990’s. He was the former Vice Chairman and two-term Chairman of the Rutherford Young Republican Club. He also served as the TYRF Middle Tennessee Director. Tim is a past member of the Rutherford County Correctional Workhouse Board and the County Equalization Board and served on the Tennessee Republican Party’s State Executive Committee. He is currently a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church. Tim became involved in politics when a local government was annexing a neighbor’s property against their wishes. He has been passionate about property rights, was a leader in the fight opposing a state income tax and fought for teacher rights. Tim supported his mother after his father passed away in 1984. After his mother contracted dementia, he served as his elderly mother’s caregiver until she recently passed away at age 91. He has personal experience with senior issues and government impact on their lives. Senior healthcare issues are near and dear to his heart. He has been an advocate for senior issues in the legislature. Tim has owned his own marketing and direct mail consulting business for over 30 years. He has also been a real estate agent and affiliate broker for over 25 years. As a small business owner, he understands first-hand the burden of job killing government excessive regulations and anti-business fees and taxes.
