LaTroy Alexandria-Williams has had a long career in community service, journalism, and political activism, including participating in Civil Rights marches at age 15, building a major weekly newspaper, and being selected by President Jimmy Carter as the first African American to appear before a select committee to discuss foreign and domestic policy.

Mr. Alexandria-Williams believes his extensive experience in community organizing, business, law, and politics uniquely positions him to bridge divides and achieve results for Memphis and West Tennessee. He emphasizes the importance of standing up to political bullies while also finding common ground to work together in these politically divisive times.
