As a 7th generation Tennessean, I've spent my career pursuing injustice: starting businesses with survivors of human trafficking, researching employment gaps in the workforce, leading nonprofits, and advising global organizations. Now, I'm running to be the next Governor of Tennessee, because the greatest injustice I see every day is a system that suggests you have to be a political extremist in order to be a represented citizen.

What are your priorities for this office?
Lauren is running as an Independent because, like most Tennesseans, she doesn't fit perfectly into the platforms of the major parties. She doesn't expect you to agree with every policy on this page, but she does expect you to bring your voice to the table as a responsible citizen. Under her leadership, Lauren promises that: Tennessee's government will answer to voters, not political parties or special interests. Governing decisions will focus on government issues like the economy, education, safety, roads, water, and energy. Solutions will be built by experts and innovators alongside the people who actually live with them, pairing real expertise with real experience. The state won't make promises it can't pay for, or pass today's costs on to our kids and grandkids. State leaders will earn their appointments through merit, not loyalty to Lauren or money spent backing her campaign. If you want a governor who leads independently, acts with integrity, and continually seeks better solutions, Lauren is the candidate for you.
Describe your qualifications for this office.
I’m a wife, mother of 4 kids born on 3 continents, and a 7th generation Tennessean fighting for practical solutions to improve Tennessee. My life has been shaped by both the hills of Tennessee and experiences across the globe, giving me a unique perspective on leadership, justice, and opportunity. I’m running to restore leadership focused on real problems, not partisan fights. After 15 years addressing human trafficking and creating safe economic opportunities around the world, I returned home to bring the same problem-solving mindset to Tennessee.
