Tell us about your campaign.

I am a lifelong resident of Jefferson County in East Tennessee, where I was born and raised. Having recently completed my 40th year in public education as a teacher, coach, and administrator, my life's work has been dedicated to investing in the future of Tennessee's children and supporting our communities. My campaign is built on three core pillars: improving mental health resources, addressing homelessness and poverty, and strengthening our education system. As a Christian Independent running for Governor, my faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of who I am. While I will never push my personal beliefs on others, my faith serves as my steady moral compass. If elected, I am committed to leading our state by striving to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8). I offer an independent mind, a Tennessee heart, and a commitment to delivering new results for all Tennesseans. I will work tirelessly to make our state stronger and more unified for all Tennesseans.

What are your priorities for this office?

As a son of East Tennessee - born and raised in White Pine and still a resident of Jefferson County - I see our state through the same eyes you do. Whether I'm commuting to work or heading to the grocery store, I feel the same frustrations and face the same hurdles as every other Tennessean. From the potholes and congestion of our aging roads to the rising cost of a grocery bag that makes a $100 bill feel like pocket change, our daily lives are being squeezed. We see "FOR SALE" signs on land our families can no longer afford, and we see our neighbors struggling on the streets, battling mental health crises without a hand to pull them up. For 40 years, I have served in public education. I have seen our teachers and students suffocated by politics when they should be empowered by support. I won't promise to fix every problem, but I will promise this: I will lead with my faith as my compass. I will make decisions based on what is right for our people, not what is convenient for a political party. Together, WE can build a Tennessee that lifts us ALL up. Micah 6:8 (NKJV) " He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you? but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."

Describe your qualifications for this office.

Dr. Robert C. Vick embodies the very spirit of Tennessee. Born and raised in the beautiful small town of White Pine, snuggled in the valley of East Tennessee, he has always called Jefferson County and the VOLUNTEER state home. He and his wife, Stephanie Bishop Vick, are blessed with a large, blended family of five grown children and blessed with six cherished grandchildren. It is for their future, and the future of every Tennessee family, that Dr. Vick has stepped forward to serve. His decision to enter this race developed through his deep relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ. Dr. Vick promises not to push his Christian faith onto the public, but to use his faith as a foundation for service and integrity—to be a good steward of public resources and to treat every Tennessean with dignity.
