Tell us about your campaign.

Congress’ lack of transparency is the reason I am running. I've discovered that politicians exploit our feelings to make us pay attention to certain topics while ignoring many others. Why did America not know that a space shuttle relocation would cost $85 million? My goal in running is to eliminate wasteful expenditure from the federal budget while maintaining funding for Social Security, healthcare, and education. I'm running to make sure that people who want to buy a house can afford to do so and that there will be accessible childcare for those who need it. My goal in running is to support the EPA and eliminate plastic items from the environment. In addition to making sure veterans receive all benefits to which they are legally entitled, I want to update the VA disability application procedure so that a decision is made within sixty days. I'm running to make sure that America will be a home for the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. My goal in running is to contribute to the creation of a federal budget that genuinely prioritizes Americans. As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and 30-year veteran of the armed forces, I aspire to a just, reasonably priced, and livable America for all citizens.

In your own words, describe the responsibilities of the office you are seeking.

Members of the House draft, examine, and approve laws on behalf of their constituents; Other duties include drafting tax laws, supervising the executive branch, and managing the impeachment process of federally elected officials.

What are your priorities for this office?

Fund the Department of Education and reinstate the special education program. Pass Medicare for All, update the Affordable Healthcare Act, and reinstate the subsidies. Simplify the VA disability application procedure and provide funding for the Social Security program. Restore EPA funding, enact laws taxing millionaires and billionaires, support homeownership, and promote childcare facilities managed by companies.

Describe your qualifications for this office.

I will never sell my integrity since I am an honest person. Setting priorities and creating a budget are skills I possess. Having spent thirty years in the military as a personnel sergeant, I have much experience attending to people's needs. I oversaw a federally financed Medicaid program for the entire state. When it comes to budgeting, I know how to choose needs before wants. I will bring that fortitude mindset into the US House of Representatives because I took an oath to defend America.
