Murfreesboro City Council

The Murfreesboro City Council consist of seven members, including an elected Mayor. Council members serve two staggered terms of four year terms. City elections are held in August, concurrent with the general election, with terms of office beginning on September 1 following the election. In addition to establishing city policy, the City Council appoints the following officials:
